Senior Creative Video Producer

The Senior Creative Video Producer films, edits, produces and distributes digital video projects for the Office of University Communications to provide increased visibility, understanding and support of Boston College’s mission. Responsible for filming campus events, faculty and student interviews, public service announcements (PSA’s) and B-roll (or additional footage), as well as recording and assembling footage in a multi-user non-linear editing environment. Completed projects are used for internal websites, social media channels, email newsletters, and external broadcast news outlets that require high definition footage.
•Experience shooting with professional grade high definition (HD) digital cameras, including digital singlelens reflex cameras. (DSLRs).
•Experience with audio recording techniques
•Ability to manage multiple projects successfully, working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
•Demonstrate visual creativity
•Be energetic, creative, innovative and a team-player
-Knowledge of video editing software, (i.e., Final Cut Pro, AVID, After Effects) and proficient in Color and Pro Tools
-Familiarity with posting digital media online
-Excellent communication and project management skills
-A background in basic cinematography is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism, cinematography, media production, or related field required. Previous higher education or sales and marketing experience desirable.
Creative Video Producer: 1-3 years experience
Senior Creative Video Producer: 3+ years experience
